Managing risk, social inclusion, and impact.

I am an environmental and social safeguards and ESG consultant. For more than twelve years I have worked with development finance institutions, financial institutions, companies, and programme teams.

The practice has three parts. I prepare safeguards instruments and environmental and social management systems. I help organisations turn sustainability commitments into compliance, disclosure, and traceable supply chains. I design baselines, reviews, and evaluations so funders and communities can show a credible result.

What I do

Safeguards, compliance, and proof of impact.

  1. 01

    E&S risk and impact management

I develop, implement, and monitor safeguards instruments for development finance institutions, financial institutions, and programme-level management systems. The work covers due diligence, impact assessment, action plans, grievance redress, stakeholder engagement, gender and GBV plans, and free, prior and informed consent, held to national regulation, IFC Performance Standards, the World Bank E&S Framework, and the Equator Principles.

  2. 02

ESG strategy, disclosure and value chain assurance

I help companies, MSMEs, and investors turn sustainability commitments into compliance, measurable impact, and market access. Strategy and materiality, governance and KPIs, climate and nature-related risk, investor-ready disclosure, and supply-chain due diligence, including EUDR, CSDDD, IFRS S1 and S2, GRI, and TNFD.

  3. 03

    Programme evaluation and safeguards verification

Baselines, midline reviews, and endline evaluations so funders, implementers, and communities can demonstrate a credible outcome. Theories of change, impact measurement, and safeguards monitoring, using OECD-DAC criteria and gender-responsive methods.
